Why partner with us

Good for your building. Better for your residents.

Licensing revenue

ConnectNYC pays to license rooftop space under a standard agreement. You retain full ownership and complete control of your property — always.

Free common-area internet

Partnered buildings get free high-speed internet in common areas — lobby, community room, management office. Included at no additional cost as part of your agreement.

Happier, stickier tenants

Your residents get a competitive internet option with transparent pricing, no contracts, and no data caps. Choice makes tenants happy. Happy tenants renew leases.

Referral arrangements

Building owners and management companies who help connect residents with ConnectNYC can participate in referral arrangements. Reach out and we’ll walk you through the details.

How it works

Simple process. Minimal disruption.

From first conversation to live service — here’s how it goes.

Initial conversation

We learn about your building, answer every question, and determine if ConnectNYC is a good fit. No pressure. No commitment at this stage.

Site survey & license

Our team surveys the rooftop and building infrastructure. If it’s a go, we execute a standard license agreement — not a lease. You keep full control of your property.

Equipment installation

We install a compact wireless antenna on the rooftop — small, professional-grade, and fully code-compliant. Every step is coordinated with your building management.

Residents go live

Residents order ConnectNYC online and receive a self-install kit. They plug the modem into an existing coax outlet — no new wiring, no technician visits, no disruption.

Compliance

Fully compliant. Fully transparent.

Owners’ questions

Questions building owners ask.

How much space does the rooftop equipment need?

About the footprint of a small satellite dish plus a compact equipment cabinet. Most installations are nearly invisible from street level.

Do you need to run new cable through the building?

No. We use the existing coaxial cable already in your risers and walls. No conduit work, no hallway construction, no disruption to residents.

Is this a lease or a license?

A revocable license. It conveys no property interest, keeps you in full control, and is structured to comply with NYC TPPN 5/98.

What happens if I want to terminate the agreement?

The license includes clear termination terms. We remove our equipment professionally and restore the space — no long-term encumbrance on your building.

Does this interfere with existing providers?

No. We never require exclusivity, and our equipment operates independently of existing services. Residents simply get one more option.
